We offer 90 minute and 2 hour lessons in manual and automatic cars to get you driving sooner. With longer lessons we have lower costs, so we pass on these savings to you:

Areas Covered:
We give driving lessons across the whole of the Lancaster area, from Galgate, Lancaster University and Lancaster itself, across to Heysham and Morecambe, up through Hest Bank and as far as Carnforth and over to Hornby, Wray, Caton and Halton. If you are within a 30 minute drive of the Heysham driving test centre we can get to you. If you do live further out, you may want to book the longer 2 hour lessons in order to get a good chance to train around the test areas.
Your Lancaster Driving Instructor:
Tim Manwaring is a fully qualified Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (DSA ADI).
A grade 5 instructor, he has many qualifications and is constantly working with some of the best trainers in the country to improve his skills. He has trained customers from age 17 to age 70, and has an excellent record.
Tim has a lot of experience dealing with nervous drivers and mature learners, giving them the skills to pass and gain a quality of life they feared might be beyond them.
Taming boy racers is also a speciality!
As well as training learners, he also provides SAFED Van Driver Training, Driver Assessments and Off-Road Training for 4x4 drivers.
The Training Cars:
You can see one above - it's a new Toyota Yaris - possibly the finest car to learn to drive in! Our automatic car is the Honda Jazz CVT, the simplest and most intuitive automatic car we could find.
Comfortable and Controllable:
You are in control of everything - including the windows, the mirrors, the heating, the air conditioning and you can set everything from the drivers side - on your lessons it is YOUR car!
Safe:
Fitted with Dual Controls, and with an excellent safety rating we use only the safest cars to learn in.
Much Less Embarassing!
We have no roof box and no signwriting on the car to draw attention to you. Just the regulation L-plate front and back. We have found that this means we are much less of a "target" for aggressive drivers. A nicer experience all round.
